River Tagus and Lisbon 25th of April bridge

UT Austin | Portugal CoLab Program
Autumn School in Nonlinear Science

October 5-9, 2015
Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal

Synopsis

The school aims at bringing together prominent researchers, known for their expertise in modeling, analysis and simulation of nonlinear phenomena, and graduate and post-graduate students from around the world for five days of research training.  The school comprises an intensive program of week-long short courses complemented by tutorial sessions run by post-graduate students. It will focus on non-local or nonlinear partial differential equations with applications ranging from phase transitions and free boundary problems to porous media flows and contaminant transport in subsurface environments.

We expect to be able to fund the local expenses of up to 25 students.
